1. PARALYMPICS GAMES PARIS 2024

India have so far won a total of 27 medals; 6 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze.
2. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya assures better training facilities and infrastructure for athletes; Lauds para athletes for their stellar performance in Paris Paralympics.
3. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Paris Paralympics medalists Praveen Kumar and Hokato Hotozhe Sema. Mr Modi appreciated the efforts of Hokato Hotozhe Sema to win a medal in his very first Paralympics at the age of 40 years. The Prime Minister also discussed with Praveen Kumar how he took help of internet during his training which helped him improve his performance.
4. India’s Navdeep Singh’s silver medal was upgraded to gold after initial winner Iran’s Sadegh Beit Sayah was disqualified for repeatedly displaying an objectionable flag following a dramatic men’s javelin throw F41 final at the Paris Paralympics on Saturday. This is India’s first-ever gold medal in the men’s javelin F41 category.
