1. THE HOCKEY INDIA
In the FIH junior men’s hockey World Cup, India lost to Spain by 1-4 in the second Pool C match in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday (7th December 2023).
In their opener on Tuesday, India beat Korea 4 – 2 with the help of Vice-captain Araijeet Singh Hundal’s hat-trick.
India’s last pool match is against Canada on Saturday.
2. Indian cricket team arrived in Durban on Thursday ahead of their multi-format series against South Africa, starting with the first T20I on Sunday.
Seniors like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will miss the white-ball leg, but will return for the two Test series, with the first Test in Centurion from December 26 onwards and the second Test at Cape Town from 03 Jan, 2024.
