1. Indian table tennis legend A. Sharath Kamal announced that he will retire later this month, ending a career spanning more than 22 years at the top of the sport.
2. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the Khelo India Para Games 2025 will be held in New Delhi from the 20th to the 27th of this month.
3. In the second semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy, New Zealand entered the final defeating South Africa by 50 runs at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Chasing the highest-ever target in the tournament’s history of 362 runs set by New Zealand, South Africa made 312 runs for the loss of Nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
New Zealand will face India in the final on Sunday.
4. Australian cricket legend Steve Smith has officially announced his retirement from One-Day Internationals (ODIs), marking the end of an illustrious 14-year career in the 50-over format. He will continue to be available for Test and T20I selection.
5. Olympian wrestler and accused in Sagar Dhankar murder case, Sushil Kumar likely to be released from Tihar Jail on Thursday. Sushil kumar was arrested on 23 May 2021.
6. In Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah launched the official website for the Khelo India Winter Games 2025 at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu. The event will now take place from March 9-12 at Gulmarg.
