Chasing a target of 265 runs set by Australia, the Men in Blue successfully overhauled the target, scoring 267 for the loss of six wickets in 48.1 overs in the first semi-final of the tournament.
Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India, contributing 84 runs off 98 balls.
Shreyas Iyer made 45 off 62 balls,
KL Rahul scored 42 off 34 balls,
