1. In Border-Gavaskar Trophy Cricket, Australia registered a 184 run victory over India on the fifth and final day of the fourth test in Melbourne. With this loss, India has thin chances for reaching the World Test Championship Final.
2. In Santosh Trophy Football, West Bengal knocked out defending champion Services 4-2 in the semifinal at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad. This is Bengal’s 47th entry into the final while it won the trophy a record 32 times. In the other semifinal yesterday, Kerala defeated Manipur 5-1 and advanced to the final. In the final, West Bengal will clash against Kerala in Hyderabad at 7:30 pm.
3. Kerala defeated Chandigarh 34-31 to clinch their maiden Senior National Men’s Handball Championship title. The tournament final took place in Changanassery, Kerala.
