1. In Men’s Asia Cup Hockey Championship 2025, Malaysia thrashed defending champions Korea by 4-1 in a surprising upset at the second match played at Rajgir International Hockey Stadium.
Today, India will take on Japan in a Pool-A match, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
2. At 25th commonwealth senior weightlifting championship in Ahemdabad India topped the medals tally with 13 medals including 4 gold 6 silver and 3 bronze.
3. India has officially submitted its proposal to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, marking a significant step in its ambition to bring the multi-sport event back to the country after two decades.
The formal bid was submitted to the President of Commonwealth Sport (the Commonwealth Games Federation) Dr. Donald Rukare by a delegation with representation from the Commonwealth Games Association of India and the Government of Gujarat in London.
4. In Badminton, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will lock horns with the Chinese duo of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in men’s doubles semi-final of the BWF World Championships in Paris.
Satwik and Chirag created history by securing a place in semifinals as they have become the first Indian pair to win two medals at the BWF World Championships. They had won a bronze medal in 2022.
