2. IPL T20 Cricket, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s historic century, alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten 70, saw Rajasthan Royals register an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored 101 runs in 38 balls, was declared Player of the Match. Suryavanshi’s 101-run innings saw him surpass Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant and Devdutt Padikkal to shatter the record of the youngest centurion in tournament history as he did it at the age of 14 years 32 days. It is also the second fastest century in the tournament, behind only Chris Gayle, who did it in 30 deliveries, and the fastest century by an Indian, surpassing Yusuf Pathan’s record of 37 deliveries.

3. In the Women’s Cricket, India defeated South Africa by 15 runs to register their second consecutive victory in Tri-Nation ODI series in Colombo. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India posted 276 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

In reply, chasing a target of 277 runs, South Africa were restricted to 261 in 49.2 overs. Besides, India and South Africa, Sri Lanka is the third team participating in the tournament.
