3. In shooting, India’s Anushka Thokur won gold in the women’s 50-meter rifle 3-positions event at the ISSF Junior World Cup yesterday at the Dr. Karni Singh Range in Delhi. This was Thokur’s second gold in the competition, following her earlier win in the 50-meter rifle prone event.
4. Former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas has been elected as the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during its Annual General Meeting yesterday. Manhas becomes the 37th president of the board, succeeding Roger Binny, who stepped down last month after turning 70.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has congratulated Shailesh Kumar, a resident of the state, for winning the gold medal and setting a championship record in the Men’s High Jump T63/42 category at the World Para Athletics Championships. Shailesh Kumar will be awarded 75 lakh rupees and a citation under the State Sports Award Scheme for this historic achievement.
