2. The 16-year-old Indian shuttler Tanvi Sharma defeated former World Champion Nozomi Okuhara to reach Women’s Singles quarterfinals of Syed Modi International Badminton tournament in Lucknow.
3. In Hockey🏒 Indian men’s hockey team delivered a strong performance, winning 3-2 against New Zealand in a competitive match at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Stadium in Ipoh, Malaysia.
4. PM Modi has congratulated Indian Deaflympians for their performance at the 25th Summer Deaflympics 2025 in Tokyo. In a social media post, he said that with a medal tally of 20 medals, including 9 Golds, the country’s athletes have once again proven that determination and dedication can lead to outstanding results.
5. Indian table tennis players made a strong debut at the ITTF World Youth Championships in Romania, returning with a haul of two medals, a silver and a bronze.
The Under-19 Boys squad produced the standout performance, reaching the final with confidence before going down 0-3 to Japan.
