INDIA’S SUDIRMAN CUP CAMPAIGN ENDS : Badminton tournament got off to a disappointing start as the team suffered a 4-1 defeat against Denmark at the Xiamen Fenghuang Gymnasium in the People’s RepublicPV Sindhu squandered five game points before losing her singles match. Tanisha Crasto-Priya Konjengbam picked up India’s only win in the women’s doubles of China on Sunday.

The tournament will be held in Xiamen, China, between 27 April and 4 May 2025.

3. In Football, Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-2 to win the Copa del Rey final at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain. The victory gave Barcelona a record-extending 32nd Spanish Cup title.
