3. In men’s cricket, India defeated Australia by 9 wickets in the third and final match of the three-match ODI series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Earlier, the hosts Australia were bowled out for 236 in 46.4 overs, setting India a target of 237 runs. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first.
4. On the second day of the 4th South Asian Athletics Championship 2025 held in Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi, Indian team clinched 6 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals in 11 track and field events.

5. Hockey India released the schedule for Hockey India Mens and Womens League for upcoming season 2025-26 yesterday in Ranchi. Sports Minister Sudivya Kumar released the fixture and unveiled the Logo of new Hockey Team Ranchi Royals to be introduced for the Hockey India League (HIL) from the upcoming season. The Women’s HIL tournament will be held from December 28 – January 10 in Ranchi while the Men’s HIL tournament will be held between January 3-26 in Chennai, Bhubaneswar and Ranchi. Hockey India Secretary Bhola Nath Singh was present on this occasion.
6. The Pakistan Hockey Federation has informed the International Hockey Federation (FIH) that its team will not be travelling to India to participate in the upcoming Men’s Junior World Cup, on the advice of its government. Men’s Junior World Cup is set to take place in Tamil Nadu in November. FIH had delayed conducting the draw for the event to be held in Chennai and Madurai for nearly a month, to allow Pakistan time to consult its government on its participation.
