1. India’s golden boy of athletics, Neeraj Chopra, continued his dominant form in the 2025 athletics season by winning the men’s javelin throw title at the prestigious Ostrava Golden Spike meet held in the Czech Republic on June 25, 2025.
Chopra clinched the top spot with a best throw of 85.29 metres, beating a strong field of international competitors. This win comes on the heels of his Paris Diamond League victory, making it his second title in just six days.
2. Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, made an unannounced visit to the Sports Training Centre (STC) operated by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Agartala.
The Minister, who is on a two-day visit to Tripura as part of the extensive ‘Poorvottar Sampark Setu’ dialogue initiative, conducted a thorough review of the training facilities.
