1. In Weightlifting, Mirabai Chanu wins gold at Commonwealth Championships in Ahmedabad in women’s 48kg category.
2. In Asian Shooting Championship; Indian women shooters dominated the 25m pistol junior individual event, clinching gold, silver and bronze medals each at the Asian Shooting Championship in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Payal Khatri claimed the gold, Naamya Kapoor won a silver and Tejaswani claimed the bronze in the final. The trio also won gold in the team event. Bhowneesh Mendiratta clinches silver in men’s trap event.
Earlier, the Indian trio of Manu Bhaker, Esha and Simranpreet Kaur Brar won the bronze in 25m pistol women senior team competition.
