1. In Jammu & Kashmir, the three day Khelo India Water Sports Festival, began at the iconic Dal Lake in Srinagar. Organised jointly by the Sports Authority of India and the J&K Sports Council, the event is conceived as a celebration of Jammu Kashmir’s culture and ecology.
2. The Indian men’s air rifle team of Arjun Babuta, Rudrankksh Patil, and Kiran Jadhav clinched the gold medal in men’s 10m Air Rifle at the Asian Shooting Championships in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
3. Senior batter Cheteshwar Pujara has confirmed his interest in featuring in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, which begins in October. The 37-year-old will return to competitive action for the first time since last season’s Ranji Trophy, which concluded in February.
