1. In Kho Kho World Cup, Indian Women’s and Men’s teams were crowned as the World Champions. Women Team India secured a commanding victory with a score of 78-40 against the Nepal women’s team in the final match of the World Cup 2025 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Later, in the Men’s Final match, India defeated Nepal by 54-36 at the same venue.
2. The 20th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon was held yesterday, with over 65,000 runners taking part in the event. Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan flagged off the ‘Elite’ segment of the marathon by firing a sports gun from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
Eritrea’s Berhane Tesfay won the men’s and and Kenya’s Joyce Chepkemoi Tele clinched the women’s elite race.
3. In India Open Badminton in New Delhi, Demark’s Viktor Axelsen won the Men’s singles title. He defeated Hong Kong’s C. Yiu Lee in straight sets 21-16. 21-8 in the finals.
In Women’s singles, South Korea’s an Se Young defeated Thailand’s P. Chochuwong 21-12, 21-9 in the final to win the title.

5. India’s Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra married Himani Mor in a private ceremony. The couple shared their joy on social media, requesting privacy.
Himani, 25, hails from Haryana like Neeraj. She is from Sonipat while Neeraj is from Khandra in Panipat. A former tennis player and student of Delhi’s Miranda House, Himani is pursuing her Masters in Sports Management from McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Massachusetts, US.
6. India’s Olympic shooting star Manu Bhaker has suffered a personal tragedy as her maternal grandmother and maternal uncle lost their lives in a road accident on Sunday.
