1. PM Modi interacted with the Indian contingent which will participate in the Paris Paralympics beginning on the 28th of this month. During the interaction which was held through video conferencing, PM Modi said, the athletes are going to Paris as flagbearers of India.
2. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, this time, India is sending its biggest-ever contingent to participate in Paralympics. He said, 84 talented Indian athletes will represent India in Paris Paralympics 2024.
3. The first-ever Global Women’s Kabaddi League will
commence next month (September) in Haryana. Officially
named the Global Pravasi Women’s Kabaddi League
(GPKL), this groundbreaking tournament will feature female
athletes from over 15 countries.
4. Hockey India (HI) has officially announced that retiring
goalkeeper PR Sreejesh will be the new head coach for the
Indian junior men’s hockey team.
