2. Recently, India’s Gulveer Singh bettered his own national record in the non-Olympic event of men’s 3000 metres race while finishing fifth at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial – Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix in Budapest.
He clocked 7 minutes 34.49 seconds to eclipse his own previous national record time of 7 minutes 38.26 seconds

Former Sri Lankan domestic cricketer Saliya Saman has been banned from all forms of Cricket for five years after an ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal found him guilty of breaching there Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Anti-Corruption Code. Saman was among eight people charged in September 2023 for breaching the Code during the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 League.
