1. PM Modi met with the nation’s Paralympians, who brought glory to the nation with a best-ever medal tally of 29 medals at the recently concluded quadrennial sporting extravaganza in Paris.
2. In Hockey, defending champions India defeated Korea 3-1 to register their fourth consecutive win at the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy tournament in Hulunbuir, China. Araijeet Singh Hundal and skipper Harmanpreet Singh were the goal-scorers for India against the Koreans.
3. A grand felicitation ceremony was held to honour India’s para-athletes for their historic performance at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The event was held in the presence of Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse.
4. Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan will return from a back injury in this month’s three-match one-day series against South Africa, while batter Ibrahim Zadran has been ruled out with an ankle sprain, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said.
5. Earthquake tremors were reported in Afghanistan and Pakistan on Wednesday (Sep 11) at around 7:28 am GMT (12:58 pm IST).
