3. Maharashtra’s athletes continue their winning streak at the Khelo India Youth Games. On the eighth day of the games, Maharashtra is in First position with 75 medals, including 28 gold medals 22 silver and 25 bronze medals.

Karnataka is in second place with 39 medals, including 14 gold, while Rajasthan is in third place with a total of 23 medals.

4. India’s Nirupama Devi finished 4th in the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jiangshan, China.

The 24-year-old Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships medallist managed 115 kg in clean and jerk, adding to her 91 kg snatch for a total of 206kg in the non-Olympic category.
