1. The World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2026 began yesterday in New Delhi and will continue till the 13th of this month. India’s top para-athletes including Paris 2024 gold medallists Sumit Antil, Praveen Kumar and Mariyappan Thangavelu are expected to participate in the event. The three day event will provide 74 international classification slots for athletes across different categories.
2. The 2026 FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup will be jointly hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands from August 15–30, 2026. As of March 11, 2026, the Indian women’s hockey team has secured a semifinal spot in the qualifiers in Hyderabad, defeating Wales 4-1 with a Navneet Kaur hat-trick to advance.
3. Gujarat Titans have appointed former India wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Dahiya as assistant coach ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.
4. India is set to host a top international archery competition for the first time in 22 years with Delhi being awarded the second leg of the Asia Cup in 2027.
