2. World Chess Championship: Indian challenger D. Gukesh lost the 12th game to defending champion Ding Liren of China, leveling the World Chess Championship match in Singapore.
3. In hockey, India registered a crushing victory over Bangladesh in the Women’s Junior Asia Cup at Muscat in Oman. The Indian team secured this victory with a large margin of 13-1. For India, Mumtaz Khan spearheaded the effort with four impressive goals. Supported by hat-tricks from Kanika Siwach and Deepika.
4. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday felicitated the Indian contingent for clinching 55 medals at the 10th Asia-Pacific Deaf Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Indian team, represented by 68 members, including 42 men and 26 women, secured 8 gold, 18 silver, and 29 bronze medals at these games held from the 1st to the 8th of December. This was the best-ever performance by an Indian team in the quadrennial tournament since its inaugural edition in 1984.
