1. In 67th National Shooting Championship 2024, Varun Tomar from Indian Army has become the national shooting champion after winning the Men’s 10-meter Air Pistol finals at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi on Sunday. Varun’s teammate Pradhyumn Singh won Sliver, while Rajasthan’s Aakash Bhardwaj bagged Bronze medal.
2. In Men’s Youth 10-meter Air Pistol event, Chirag Sharma from Uttar Pradesh won Gold, teammate Dev Pratap won Silver and Mayank Choudhary of Rajasthan won Bronze.
3. In Squash, India’s Anahat Singh has stormed into the finals of the British Junior Open at Birmingham in England. She defeated Ruqayya Salem of Egypt 3-1 in the Semi-Finals of the Girl’s Under 17 singles title.
4. The National Selection Panel of the Differently-Abled Cricket Council of India, DCCI has announced the 17-member Indian squad on Sunday for the Physically Disabled Champions Trophy. The championship will begin in Sri Lanka from 12th of January. Vikrant Ravindra Keni was named as captain of the team.
5. Test Cricket, Australia defeated India by six wickets in the fifth and final Test match in Sydney and clinched the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, 3-1. Australia successfully chased down the target of 162 runs on Day 3.
