1. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced cash rewards for athletes and coaches for their exceptional performances at the 3rd Asian Youth Games held at Manama in Bahrain last month, where the India secured a commendable total of 48 medals across various sporting disciplines. Gold medallists will receive 5 lakh rupees each, silver medallists will be awarded 3 lakh and bronze medallists 2 lakh rupees.
Fourth-place finishers will get 50 thousand rupees each, and coaches of medal-winning athletes will be honoured with 1 lakh rupees each.
In addition, both the boys and girls kabaddi teams will receive 10 lakh rupees each in recognition of their outstanding performances.
2. Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan has congratulated the young athletes on India’s best-ever performance at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain.
3. Hockey India will launch its centenary celebrations – marking 100 years of Indian hockey – on November 7 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. Organised in association with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), the event will mark the beginning of a series of initiatives celebrating the sport’s illustrious history while laying the groundwork for its future growth.
