1. Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse today announced a special edition of the Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action (ASMITA) League in New Delhi. The League marks International Women’s Day on the 8th of this month.
2. Recently Jammu and Kashmir’s Ranji cricket team won their first-ever Ranji, defeating Karnataka at Hubballi. They have ended a 67-year wait for a Ranji Trophy title, completely dominating Karnataka and finishing with a 633-run lead for their first-ever domestic First Class success.
Vice President C P Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Team on their first Ranji Trophy triumph and on scripting a new chapter in the region’s sporting history.
