Tokyo Paralympics 2020 : Taekwondo Player Aruna Tanwar Withdraws From Repechage Round Due To Suspected Fracture

Tanwar was on Thursday forced to withdraw from the repechage round of the Paralympics women’s taekwondo K44-49kg class because of severe injuries sustained during her opening bout of the Games

Para – Taekwondo sports finally gets its ,debut at Paralympics. India’s 1st Taekwondo para Athlete, qualified for Tokyo Paralympics, Aruna Tanwar, begins her campaign with impressive win , defeated Danijela Jovanovic of Serbia with dominance 29-9 , in woman K 44 kgs and advanced to Quarter- finals.

But could not maintain her dominance & lost her Quarter-finals match to Lenor Erpinoza Corranza of Peru by 21-84.

Aruna Tanwar was scheduled to take on Azerbaijan’s 10th seed Royala Fataliyeva in the repechage quarters.
