An avalanche of fours and sixes rained from his bat as he took just 47 deliveries to hammer his hundred on a flat track in Harare.
The knock, powerful and explosive was studded with seven fours and eight sixes on Sunday. After having failed in the first match, left handed Abhishek showed strong nerves and intent.
It seemed from IPL to international cricket he had changed gears too swiftly to make a mark. In the transition phase in Indian cricket, this hundred is very timely.
