3. Former CSK captain MS Dhoni smashed his first fifty in IPL in almost three years after scoring 50*(38), including seven fours and one six, against KKR in the IPL 2022 opener today. Dhoni’s previous IPL fifty had come against RCB on April 21, 2019. Dhoni had a highest score of 18* in IPL 2021 and 47* in IPL 2020.
4. IPL 2022: The BCCI felicitated Neeraj Chopra, Lovlina Borgohain and the men’s hockey team ahead of the first match between CSK and KKR.
5. India’s HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu entered the men’s singles and women’s singles finals respectively at the Swiss Open on Saturday. Sindhu, seeded second, defeated unseeded Supanida Katethong 21-18, 15-21, 21-19 in one hour 19 minutes.
