1. Asian Games 2023: Indian women’s and men’s Table Tennis teams scored thumping victory over Nepal and Tajikistan
ASIAN GAMES 2023 The 19th edition of the Games 2023 is all set to kick off today (Sept 23) in Hangzhou, China. The event will see many sports events, including cricket.
(a) The Asian Games 2023 will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
(b) 45 countries will compete in 40 sports across 61 disciplines for a total of 481 gold medals.
(c) A total of 56 venues will be used in and around Hangzhou.
(d) The Indian contingent list in the Asian Games is 921, including 655 athletes, 260 coaches, and support staff. This is the country’s biggest-ever contingent in the Asian Games.
2. The schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule has been released by ICC. The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be held in India from October 5 to November 19, 2023. The upcoming World Cup will feature a total of 10 teams.
3. SAFF U-19 Championship: U19 men’s football team defeat Bangladesh 3-0. Kathmandu, Nepal.
4. Young Indian wrestler Antim Panghal secured a bronze medal in the women’s 53 kg category at the ongoing World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
