Hangzhou Asian Games: Indian Men’s volleyball team beat South Korea in a thrilling game. Indian men’s volleyball team stunned a higher-ranked South Korea 3-2 in a five-set thriller in Zhejiang, China today. In a neck-on-neck contest, India recorded 25-27, 29-27, 25-22, 20-25, 17-15 victory over Korea, which is three-time Asian Games gold medallist and last edition’s silver medallist. India is ranked 73rd while Korea is ranked 27th in the tournament.

Yesterday, in its opening match, India outclassed Cambodia 3-0.

1. ICC ODI Rankings: Mohammed Siraj gained 57 points and moved from No. 9 to No. 1 in the bowling rankings after his 6-wicket haul in the Asia Cup final. This is the second time in the year Siraj has been ranked No. 1 in the chart.

2. The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men’s national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is scheduled to be hosted by India from 5 October to 19 November 2023.

The ICC Cricket World Cup is being held in India after 12 years. It will be played across 10 cities. The opening match on 5th October will be played between England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. India will play its first match against Australia in Chennai.

3. The first of the three One-Day Internationals between England and Ireland was called off due to rain on Wednesday without a ball being bowled at Headingley.

4. Australia’s Luke Williams will take over as the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the second season of the Women’s Premier League.
