2. The men’s football tournament at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China, September 19 and will conclude on October 7.

(b) India put up a dominant performance to outclass Cambodia 3-0 in their opening match of the men’s volleyball competition at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Tuesday.
India defeated Cambodia 25-14, 25-13, 25-19 in a Pool C match.
3. CRICKET: India vs Australia T20 schedule, dates and complete squads list
Australia and India are set to play three T20Is, less than a month before the T20 World Cup. The three matches will be played in Mohali, Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.

4. Indian women Cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana climbed one spot each in the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings released on Tuesday, September 19.
Mandhana (708 ratings) has climbed to fourth, while Kaur (694) rose to sixth in the latest rankings ahead of the upcoming 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
5. Indian shooter Elavenil Valarivan has won the gold medal in the women’s 10 metre air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
6. World champion air rifle shooter Rudrankksh Patil will be aiming for “consistency” at the upcoming Asian Games and Asian Championships, which he feels will help him in achieving the bigger goal of winning gold at next year’s Paris Olympics.
7. The warm-up game between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played behind closed doors on September 29.
Fans won’t be allowed to witness the Pakistan versus New Zealand World Cup 2023 warm-up game on September 29, which will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
