2. The five franchises spent ₹59.5 crore to buy 87 players in the first-ever Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction in Mumbai on Monday.
Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore bought 18 players each, while Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz bought 17 and 16 players, respectively.
