1. The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday met to pick India’s squads for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia and for the T20I series against Australia and South Africa. ICC T20 World Cup will take place from 16th of October to 13th of November.
The home series against South Africa comprises three T20Is and an equal number of ODIs and will be played from 28th September to October 11
India squad for ICC T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (Captain), K.L. Rahul (Vice-Captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (Wicket-Keeper), Dinesh Karthik (Wicket-Keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh.
2. Likith YP of India has won bronze medal in the Skill of Prototype Modelling at the WorldSkills Competition 2022. WorldSkills Competition is an international competition of skilled youth among member countries of WorldSkills International.
3. England wrap up nine-wicket win over SA, seals Test series 2-1. Resuming on 97-0 chasing 130 to win on Day 5, England took barely 25 minutes to seal a nine-wicket victory, finishing on 130-1. That clinched the series 2-1
4. Carlos Alcaraz becomes youngest World No. 1 in men’s tennis after maiden Grand Slam crown at US Open 2022. 9-year-old Carlos Alcaraz became the first teenager to be ranked No. 1 in ATP rankings history after he defeated Casper Ruud in 4 sets in the final in New York for his maiden Grand Slam title.
