1. PM Modi met the Indian Paralympians who participated in the Tokyo Paralympics. He interacted with the medal winners. He also has exhorted the para-athletes to identify and work in few areas outside sports to motivate people and help bring changes to mark the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

3. Sports Ministry announces free registration for 2 lakh school students for Fit India Quiz. 1 lakh schools can nominate maximum 2 students for free for the quiz on first cum first basis. India Quiz, the participation fee of Rs 225 for the 2 lakh students from the first 1 lakh schools has been waived off.
4. US Open 2021 Final Highlights: Daniil Medvedev lifted his first Grand Slam trophy after defeating Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in minutes in the US Open men’s singles final at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
5. British teenager Emma Raducanu clinches Women’s Singles title; Joe Salisbury of Britain and his American partner Desirae Krawczyk win Mixed Doubles title at US Open Tennis.
6. Emma Raducanu has become the first British woman to win the title in 53 years. She beat Leylah Fernandez of Canada to win Women’s Singles title at US Open Tennis. Raducanu has also become the first British woman in 44 years to win a Grand Slam singles title.
7. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth congratulated Raducanu on her success and said it is a testament to her hard work and dedication. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Raducanu showed extraordinary skill in the game.
