India defeated England by 50 runs in the first T20I in Southampton. It’s India’s 18th victory in a row in international cricket under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. All-rounder Hardik Pandya slammed his first-ever T20I fifty to help India put up a total of 198/8. He also took four wickets as England were bowled out for 148 in 19.3 overs.
