1. U-20 Asian Athletics Championships: India win two gold and one bronze in Asian U-20 Athletics Championships
Siddharth Choudhary clinches gold in men’s shot put. Fast-rising Rezoana Mallick Heena and Bharatpreet Singh clinched a gold medal each in women’s 400m race and men’s discus throw respectively to launch India’s campaign at the Asian U-20 Athletics Championship on an emphatic note, here on Sunday.

The 19-year-old won the gold medal with 7,003 points. For the pole vault event, Sunil borrowed the pole vault from the organisers as he wasn’t allowed to take his pole vault due to technical issues.

4. French Open 2023: Carlos Alcaraz decimates Stefanos Tsitsipas to set up blockbuster semi-final vs Novak Djokovic. Carlos Alcaraz came out all guns firing, establishing his title credentials strongly as he decimated a challenge from World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. The World No. 1 will face 22-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the semi-final on Friday. Alcaraz defeated Tsitsipas 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (5) in the quarter-final. Novak Djokovic shook off his first set defeat to put in a dominant display at Court Phillipe Chatrier. Djokovic defeated Karen Khachanov 4-6, 7-6 (0), 6-2, 6-4.
