Japan 1-1 Croatia
Croatia beat Japan 3-1 on penalties to reach quarter-finals. It was heartbreak for Japan as they fell short in the penalty shootout after outplaying Croatia for much of regulation time, in which the match ended 1-1. Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic made three saves while Mario Pasalic kept his calm to turn in the decisive penalty.
Japan were the better team during the match but Croatia kept their calm during the penalty shootout.
Brazil 4-1 South Korea
Brazil crush South Korea 4-1 to reach quarter-finals. Goals from Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta guided Brazil to a 4-1 win over South Korea in the Round of 16 match at the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Tuesday. Brazil will meet Croatia in the quarter-finals
2. Indian shooter Rudrankksh Patil has clinched the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) President’s Cup held in Cairo, Egypt. He defeated Italy’s Danilo Sollazzo in the 10-metre rifle play-off by 16-8.
3. Indian tech brand “Noise” has appointed cricketer Virat Kohli as its new brand ambassador for its smartwatches.
4. Kerala, the 11th edition of the Admiral’s Cup Regatta will begin at the Ettikulam Bay in the Kannur district on Tuesday. The Regatta is organised as a fleet race in a single crew Olympic class Laser Radial sailboat.
