2. Former India batter Sudhir Naik passed away in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday. The 78-year-old had fallen on the bathroom floor on March 24 and had sustained a head injury after which he was admitted to the hospital. He slipped into coma and couldn’t recover. Naik played 3 Tests and 2 ODIs for India.
3. New Zealand umpire Kim Cotton on Wednesday became the first female umpire to stand in a men’s international match between two full-member countries. Cotton was one of the two on-field umpires in the second T20I between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
