1. BCCI postpones Women’s T20 League, Ranji and Col CK Nayudu
and Senior Women’s T20 League for the 2021-22 season on Tuesday due to rising COVID-19 cases in the country.
Ranji Trophy and CK Nayudu Trophy were scheduled to begin this month while Women’s T20 League was due to start in February. However, ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy will continue as scheduled.
2. SAI approves extension of National Camp for 117 athletes till March 31
In preparation for Commonwealth Games 2022 and Asian Games 2022, Sports Authority of India (SAI) approved extension of National Camp till March 31 for 117 track and field athletes and 45 coaching and support staff.
The National Camps for 64 male and 53 female athletes are taking place in Patiala, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, New Delhi and Balussery.
