2. Ace India sprinter Dutee Chand qualified for the quadrennial event in both 100m and 200m races via the World Rankings quota. She qualified for Tokyo Olympics.
3. India’s greatest Paralympian, javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia, rewrote his own world record once again as he punched his ticket for the Tokyo Paralympics during a national selection trial in New Delhi. The sent spear to a distance is 65.71m.
4. Srihari Nataraj becomes second Indian swimmer to qualify for Tokyo Summer Olympics after FINA approved his ‘A’ standard qualification time in men’s 100m backstroke time trial at the Sette Colli Trophy in Rome. He clocked 53.77sec in time trial.
