(f) India on Sunday opened their campaign in men’s hockey at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 with an 11-0 victory against Ghana in a Pool B match. It is India’s biggest victory in the history of Commonwealth Games. Harmanpreet Singh scored a hat-trick in the match, while Jugraj Singh scored a brace.
2. England defeated 8-time champion Germany to clinch maiden Women’s Euro. It has come home! England completed their fairytale run at the Women’s European Championship, beating the eight-time champions Germany 2-1 at a sold-out Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
