NEW DELHI: Saumya Sachdeva made waves at the 58th Delhi State swimming championship, smashing the under-14 girls’ 50m backstroke record with a blistering time of 34.26 seconds. Competing at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Pool, Saumya eclipsed the previous record of 34.32 seconds, marking a significant milestone in her young career.
The atmosphere at the pool was electric as Saumya surged ahead of her competitors, displaying exceptional technique and determination. Her performance didn’t stop there; she also claimed the gold in the 200m freestyle event, further solidifying her dominance in the pool.
