Kolkata, July 15, 2025 — Picklebay India Tour, a 10 City Pickleball Tournament Series, hit new highs this past weekend as it landed in Kolkata for the first time after completing their Mumbai and Bengaluru Editions, transforming the Ballygunge Arena into a 4-court powerhouse of athleticism, precision, and community-driven energy from July 11–13.
In what was the city’s first professional pickleball tournament of this scale, over 600 matches were played in just three days, backed by clockwork scheduling, efficient match management, and first-of-its-kind technology integration.

The Picklebay Tournament Management System (TMS)—India’s only tech built exclusively for pickleball—brought real-time match timings, standings, and results straight to every player’s pocket, setting a new benchmark for how tournaments are experienced.
National Stars, Global Power
Players also flew down from Mumbai, Jaipur, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Orissa, Bihar, etc to participate in this Pickleball Spectacle. A contingent of eight top-tier athletes from Global Sports from Mumbai also participated in the Picklebay India Tour – Kolkata Edition adding elite flair to the weekend. Among them, Snehal Patil emerged as the undisputed star of the tour, bagging triple gold in Open Women’s Singles, Open Women’s Doubles, and Open Mixed Doubles categories. Another Global Sports Athlete, Divyanshu Kataria from Jaipur followed with double gold in the Open Men’s Singles and Open Men’s Doubles categories.

Packed Courts, Long Rallies & New Legends
The response from the local community was equally electric: 350+ registrations, 100+ players on the waitlist, and rallies that stretched the limits of endurance and excitement. The longest match of the tournament lasted over 45 minutes, featuring a gripping doubles face-off between Haydn Rodrigues & Aman Bajwa vs Sailesh Arya & Anudeep Jhunjhunwala that ended 11–9. The final match of the tournament, clocking 35 minutes, saw a nail-biting 19–17 finish between Vidyush Dhakalia & Kallis Murjchandani vs Anuvrat Mehta & Nikunj Kedia in the Intermediate-Men’s Doubles category.
