New Delhi- ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar-1, marked National Sports Day with a grand celebration, showcasing enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and a deep reverence for India’s sporting heritage. The event was attended by Dr. Meenakshi Pahuja, a renowned international marathon swimmer, who was the Chief Guest, alongside Ms. Swarnima Luthra, Principal of ASN Schools.
The day began with the Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp, a symbolic gesture representing knowledge, unity, and prosperity. This was followed by the Green Accord and Felicitation Ceremony recognizing individuals for their contributions and emphasizing the school’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
In a colorful display, the sky was adorned with a spectrum of balloons as the meeting was Officially Declared Open, symbolizing the aspirations of the participants. The school choir then set the tone for the day with a Melodious Rendition that captured the spirit of National Sports Day.
The Torch Ceremony followed, highlighting the enduring spirit of sportsmanship. The students showcased their discipline and teamwork in an impressive March Past which was met with applause from the audience.
During her address, Ms. Swarnima Luthra, Principal of ASN Senior Secondary School, welcomed the guests and spoke about the importance of sports in education. She also led the Oath-Taking Ceremony, encouraging students to uphold the values of fair play and integrity. The day’s sports activities included a dynamic PT Drill and a series of races, where students competed with energy and enthusiasm.
The event culminated with an inspiring speech by Chief Guest Dr. Meenakshi Pahuja who stressed the role of sports in holistic development and encouraged students to excel in all areas of life. The Prize Distribution Ceremony celebrated the achievements of the day’s champions, adding to the joyous atmosphere.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sushma Kalia and the singing of the National Anthem brought yr the event to a patriotic close.
