The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is using innovative methods to spread anti-doping awareness among the 3000-plus competitors from 209 universities at the second Khelo India University Games 2021 being held here.

While the workshops have been a common feature in the earlier edition held in Bhubaneswar as well as in Khelo India School Games and Khelo India Youth Games, NADA Director-General Ms. Ritu Sain said the Agency has adopted a more contemporary approach to enhance young athletes’ awareness.

“It is important that we keep pace with the current generation of athletes by speaking to them in a simple manner that they understand,” she said. “Therefore, you will see mobile kiosks with electronic display to run the ‘I for Integrity’ campaign, Pledge Walls at venues and Mobile Games for the athletes.”

Ms. Ritu Sain visited different locations where competitions are being held in 20 disciplines and inspected the Dope Control Stations besides interacting with athletes and coaches.
