Kushagra Creates National Record

On the opening day 74th Senior National Aquatic Championships 2021 three new meet records were created.
In the opening event of senior national aquatics championship Delhi’s Kushagra Rawat created a new meet record in 400m Freestyle. Rawat clocked 3:53.68. Previously the record was in name of sajan prakash with the time 3:54.93 established in 2018.

Second record was rewritten by Srihari Nataraj who improved upon his own established record of 2019. Srihari clocked 55.10 in 100m Backstroke.

The third record of the day was established in Men section, 4 x 200m freestyle relay. Karnataka team consisting of Sambhavv R, Aneesh S Gowda, Tanish Geaorge Mathew & Srihari Nataraj clocked 7:37.65 to improve upon the previous record R.S.P. team clocked time of 7:45.24 established at ranchi national championship in 2016.
