MI beats SRH by 13 runs.
Mumbai Indian continued their winning streak by winning second match of the season against SRH at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Saturday.
Mi started to bat first and put a total of 150/5. Quinton and Rohit started on a great foot, scoring 3 boundaries in the first 2 overs.
Rohit smashed a six and a boundary in style against SRH’s decision off using spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman to tackle Rohit’s batting skills.
Quinotn joined the smashing party and played a scoop over fine leg off of Khaleel Ahmed, and put up a 50 on the scoreboard at the end of the powerplay.
SRH got its first breakthrough off of Vijay Shanakar’s slower deliver and dismissing Rohit in the 6th over. The next Mi man to step on the crease was Suryakumar Yadav. The right-handed batsman made quite an entrance with a stylish boundary followed with two crisp shots, one lofted inside-out off of Vijay’s over. But Yadav’s stint was a very brief one for he got caught at the hands of the bowler Vijay himself.
At halfway mark MI stood at a decent score of 75/2 with Kock and Ishan in the middle striding through one over at a time. SRH delivered disciplined length at the crease, not letting the MI duo the space to hit aggressively. Kieron Pollard scored a long six off of Mujeeb’s bowling. The spinner then capitalised on his spin and pace and got rid of Kishan sponsored by a brilliant catch behind the wickets by Bairstow.
Khaleel Ahmed in his last over got Hardik, who came in at 6. He got caught in the deep by Virat Singh, who put up a show with a smooth-running catch.

It was hardly any time before Bairstow went all out with his aggressive hitting, smashing 3 fours and a six off Boult, scoring 18 runs of the 3rd over.
The right handed did not spare the new MI incumbent Adam Miller and scored 19 off the 4th over , adding 2 more sixes to his kitty.
SRH stood at 57 for no loss at the end of the powerplay. But the great show put by the Bairstow came to an unexpected stop. He got dismissed by hit wicket that provided MI the must needed breakthrough.
MI then capitalised by adding Rahul Chahar’s spin to the situation. The fabulous spinner rose to the situation and got Manish Pandey for 2 runs, bringing MI back in the game.

SRH required 31 off the final 4 overs. Shankar tried cover the gap by smashing Krunal Pandya for consecutive sixes.
Bumrah bowled an economic 17th over only giving away 4 runs. The pressure got to SRH as Hardik again struck with a bazooka throe at the wicket and ended Abdul Samad’s wicket.
