Delhi Capitals had roped in an easy 7 wicket victory against Kolkata Knight Riders at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
DC started their aggressive chase with Prithvi Shaw registering a heavy score of his bat i.e., 82 runs off 41 balls. He scored six fours off of Shivam Mavi in the very first over. Shikar Dhawan ( 46 runs off 47 balls) had a very calm knock at the pitch pushing the score swiftly forward.
KKR was off to bat first. The team with Shubham gill at the pitch had 38 off 43 on the scoreboard. Andre Russell (45* off 27 balls) threw some large sixes in the mix to push the ante for KKR to secure a modest 155-run target for the opposition.
KKR’s defence proved tired as DC sealed a comfortable win, pushing KKR’s down the list. KKR so far has sustained 5 loss in 7 games while DC registered their 5th victory pf the season, climbing up 2nd place in the points table.
