Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu fulfills the hope of lakhs of fans by clinching Silver Medal at Tokyo Olympics I in 49 kgs (F) category in weightlifting.
26 years old, Chanu ,who just created World Record on 17th April 2021, lifted total 202 kgs (87 Snatch +115 Clean & Jerk ) .
Her third attempts in both events i.e. “Snatch” & “Clean & jerk” failed , which eventually events decreases her total to 202 .
Gold medal won by China’s Zhihui Hou with total of 210 (94+116) kgs. Who also created history by creating 3 Olympic Records in a single event in a competition.
