The Delhi University Inter-College Women’s Table Tennis Tournament of the 2025-26 season concluded on 15th November after three days of thrilling matches and energetic participation. The event was held from 13th to 15th November and saw the coming together of 16 colleges, each of which was seeking to put forward its best game.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Convener Dr. Meenakshi Pahuja, whose coordination and leadership were essential for this seamlessly organized event.
A Tournament Full of Energy
From day one, the venue had a vibrant atmosphere, full of competition. The teams showed great control of the game, quick reflexes, and great teamwork. For most of the players, it wasn’t just another tournament; it was an opportunity to test their limits, learn, and grow.
Final Standings Announced
After several rounds of matches, the following were the overall positions in that tournament:
1st Place — SRCC
2nd Place — Kirori Mal College (KMC)
3rd Place — Hansraj College
4th Place — Lady Shri Ram College (LSR)
Each team fought hard to retain its position, and the competition remained exciting right to the end.
SRCC Wins the Title
The final match between SRCC and KMC was expected to be one of the bigger fixtures of the tournament. SRCC kept up a good pace throughout the match, managing to win 3–0 to seal the championship title this season.
Hansraj Wins the Third-Place Battle
The match for the third position between Hansraj and LSR turned out to be a hard-fought and emotional game as both teams played with all their might, though Hansraj managed to inch ahead with a 3–2 win to grab the bronze position.
Celebrating Talent and Effort
The tournament, more than a competition, celebrated confidence, resilience, and the fast-growing enthusiasm for women’s sports at Delhi University. It had everything that makes college sports memorable: from long rallies to tight finishes.
This year’s Inter College Women’s Table Tennis Tournament drew to a close on a positive and encouraging note. With SRCC lifting the winning trophy and all teams participating with commitment and passion, the event reflected the true spirit of university sports.
