New Delhi, January 3, 2025 – The Delhi State team delivered an outstanding performance at the recently concluded 9th National Lawn Bowl Championship and 5th Under-25 Lawn Bowl Championship, held from December 25, 2024, to January 2, 2025, at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi. Their remarkable achievements underscore Delhi’s dominance in the sport at the national level.
Delhi emerged as a major contender, claiming the Overall Women Team Trophy and securing multiple medals across both senior and under-25 categories. The event witnessed spirited competition, with Delhi athletes showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill to clinch top honors.
The Delhi team’s dominance in the women’s categories, led by CWG gold medalist Ms. Pinki, was a particular highlight of the tournament winning her the best player award in women category. The men’s team also delivered a strong performance, clinching three silver medals across different events, demonstrating their consistency and competitiveness.
